The Latino Democratic Club Endorsement Process for 2026
Over the years, the LDC has proudly endorsed Democratic candidates seeking to represent our communities. This process involves you – the members. This election cycle has introduced us to many candidates who seek to create change, and we are proud to present you with their answers so that YOU, the members, can help us decide who the club should endorse.
We are excited to introduce a new tool for 2026, Ranked Choice Voting. Our active members have received an e-mail with a link to cast their votes. This is a Democratic process that is member led.

Endorsement Process – Q&A
Why did you change the process?
We understand this may seem confusing. In the past, we’ve worked with an endorsement committee. The Board has been completely hands off. This year, just for County Council At-Large, there are 17 candidates running. We needed a different process to ensure that we could get endorsements out in a timely manner.
How will voting work?
- Only active members will have the opportunity to vote. To ensure that we were not getting an influx of memberships and that every candidate has a fair shot based on their responses, we are limiting voting to current, active members. Of course we welcome new memberships but for now, we hope these safeguards help maintain the integrity of the process.
- Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) allows you to vote for multiple candidates in order of your preference—1st choice, 2nd choice, 3rd choice, and so on—instead of picking just one. If your favorite candidate can’t win, your vote doesn’t disappear; it automatically moves to your next choice.
- Each member can only vote once– and we will be collecting email addresses for security purposes only. You will have access to a secure folder with every candidate’s questionnaire.

What races are you endorsing?
We sent out questionnaires to to all the registered Democratic candidates. The only race we are not endorsing are Judge, but we highly encourage you to learn more about those candidates.
I don’t see the some candidates on here – did they get a questionnaire?
Candidates were given a deadline to submit their questionnaires by April 28th at midnight. If you do not see a response from a candidate, it means they did not submit their answers.
Do I have to vote for everyone?
There is always the option of “No Endorsement.” If you feel no candidate has earned your support, you can select that option.
What is the deadline?
Please make your submission by Sunday, May 24nth at 5:00 PM.
When will results be posted?
We will post the results on our website, our socials, and send out via newsletter no later than May 30th.
